Basil's American Tail - Chapter 19
"Basil, Basil wake up!" Nellie said, shaking Basil gently.
"Ugh oh, we we fell asleep?" Basil said, blinking and rubbing his head.
He looked up at the sky, the dark blue tinge of early dawn reflected on the clouds. The rain was letting up.
"Far longer than we were supposed to. It's almost morning." Nellie said in disappointment.
"And not long enough to cure my drowsiness either." Basil groaned, grabbing his violin, "We might as well take advantage of what time we have, before heading back to Tammany Hall."
"Alright. I know we still haven't looked everywhere." Nellie said, unfolding her umbrella and holding her hand out to help Basil to his feet, "We're just too comfortable together for our own good."
Basil smirked, brushing hay off his coat, "We can't let that get in the way of work. At least, not to excess, right?"
"Right, Basil." Nellie answered with a smile, "Let's go."
The two of them made their way down the wet alley, Basil placing the violin beneath his chin again and p
Basil's American Tail - Chapter 18
"So you say our son has been searching for us, all this time?" Papa still couldn't believe it.
"Yeah, I first met him in a sweat shop. He's da one who helped bust me outta there. I figured I owed him one." said Tony, "Me and Bridget have been takin' care of him since then, we was lookin' all over for you."
"And how did you two meet him?" Papa asked Basil and Nellie.
"I first met the boy when he wandered into my room, led there by my violin. Nellie and I have been having chance encounters with the boy ever since, most recently when we went to find Warren's lair." Basil explained.
"We wanted to help reunite him with you as soon as we were done with our case which we are now." Nellie added.
"And vhen did you last see Fievel?"
"He was right with us when we was facin' off wit' Warren. And he musta ran off around when Warren set off dat fire." Tony answered.
"That was the last time I saw him too." Basil admitted.
"We were inside the Mouse of Minsk then." said Tanya, "We got to jump out
Basil's American Tail - Chapter 17
The mice of New York gathered in a crowd above the museum as below, Warren's gang of marauding cats stood menacingly, carrying wooden clubs and licking their teeth hungrily. In front of them stood Warren, still in his night gown but having had time to put his rat disguise back on. Basil sneered. Why did anyone fall for that thing? Fievel stood near Gussie, Nellie and Basil. While coming up to the roof he'd found Tony Toponi as well, though he and Bridget had gotten separated in the crowd.
"What's all this then? Was I not invited to da slumber party?" Warren asked.
"What do you want, you wat?" Gussie asked.
"He's not a rat, he's a cat! He's their boss!" Fievel yelled.
"It's true, we saw him with out own eyes!" Basil said, pointing an accusing finger at Warren, "He is clearly too big to be a rat, he lacks the buck teeth, his nose is all wrong, and the ears are prosthetic."
"I had my doubts at first Gussie, but I saw it too. We watched him take his disguise off when we found his lair, fil

Fidget had also enjoyed bonding with other bats, but other times, he needed a break. So, he sat on the bench in the rain. Next to him sat a boy mouse that reminded him so much of Olivia, Fievel Mousekewitz.
“Hi,” Fievel said, deciding to start a conversation with the bat.
“Hi, kid,” Fidget said, “What’s your name?”
“Fievel Mousekewitz,” the boy mouse replied.
“Nice to meet you, Fievel, my name is Fidget.”
“What’s the matter, Fidget?” Fievel inquired.
“Oh, I worked for some mean rat, Professor Ratigan in the past, who threatened to feed me to his cat, Felicia if I hadn’t obeyed his orders.”
“Hey, we’ve known some bad rats and cats, too!” Fievel said with astonishment.
“You have?” Fidget&
The Great Mouse Reporter ~ Chapter 44
The muscular Lenape mouse lowered his axe over the stone one last time, and finally, the chains on Cholena's handcuffs broke. She moved her arms, relieved to have her hands in front of her, but that relief was only for an instant, as she stared on at her father. Chief Wulisso sat in front of the bead tapestry depicting the history of the Lenape mice; their greatest treasure. He hadn't spoken for quite some time.
"Chief, I have freed her from her bindings," the mouse said, in the Lenape language.
"Be gone then," the Chief replied, his eyes closed, resenting being drawn out of his trance.
The mouse nodded, and left the tent.
"Father," Cholena began.
"I require your silence," he answered.
She looked to him sadly, and then to the intricate bead tapestry that chronicled the history of the Lenape mice; how they were at peace with the human Lenape before the Europeans drove them underground. What must it have been like to be a Lenape mouse in those times? To be told you could never see the

He couldn't be sure if a police officer was following him, but, it was a chance he had to take.
Basil remembered well the underground caves leading to the Mott Street Maulers hideout, even the graffiti on the walls reading "No Dogs Allowed". Not certain who would be around, he kept close to the wall, and peered around the corner. To his surprise, the hideout seemed empty. Where were they? Was this a trap?
No…it wasn't empty. Basil could hear the sound of a raspy voice, humming a song. And then his eyes detected movement.
"Heh heh, no way I'm leaving empty winged," same the voice of Fidget, who was busy filling a bag with coins, near where War
A Great Mouse Surprise!
A Great Mouse Surprise!
Basil of Baker Street looked up from his newspaper, reading another report by his beloved girlfriend, Nellie Brie, Reporter of The Daily Nibbler. He sniffed the air as a mysterious smell was wafting through the entire room. There had also been some strange noises in the hallway, and the front door had been opened and closed an unusual number of times.
"That doesn't smell like Mrs Judson's usual tea," Basil muttered grimly. "I sense there's trouble afoot........."
He hurried to the kitchen where his housekeeper, Mrs Judson, was standing near the oven.
"Er - what is it, Mr Basil?" she asked immediately.
Basil narrowed his eyes. Was it his imagination, or did she have a guilty expression on her face? Just then, he noticed a dab of a mysterious blue substance on the counter.
"Nothing," Basil told Mrs Judson, quickly wiping up the substance. "Nothing at all."
He retreated to his study, his mind churn

"Basil and Nellie"
It was 1898, exactly one year after Basil of Baker Street and his assistant, Dr. David Q. Dawson, had stopped the notorious Professor James Ratigan from attempting to overthrow the Queen of England. The two mice were hailed as heroes throughout London and were even knighted by the Queen of England. Furthermore, it was believed that Professor Ratigan was dead after falling from Big Ben clock tower while trying to kill Basil fo

AAT V: Ch 29 – Finale
Now, it is at least three days later. They’re already back on long island just a few miles north of Brooklyn, Fievel, his family, and his friends, Karina, Tony, Bridget, and Gussie, are paying tribute to their departed friend Tiger. They’re in the woods surrounding a little piece of rock that is carved Tiger, seeing as how they don’t have a picture, a rock with his name carved into it is the best they can do.
Tony: Anyone wanna say anything?
No one answers for a few seconds.
Gussie: He was a good friend. May he rest in peace, that’s all I’ve got to say.
Tony: Okay… Fievel? You got anything to say?
Fievel shakes his head in response. After that Tony walked up to the stone rubbed his hand on it and said:
Tony: Goodbye pal.
After saying that he left, and so did the others, Fievels father patted him on the shoulder as he continued to looked at the stone carved Tiger, then he takes off while his older sister gave him a kiss on

AAT V: Ch 28 – Battle Aftermath
Now there are a lot of damages but in the aftermath, most of the enemy has surrendered and they’ve been taken prisoners of war. The two surviving ships are on the ground, loading the supplies and the civilians back on board. The enemies will be tried later, but for now, they’re more concentrated on bringing the supplies. Fievel watches the whole situation from the top of a nearby hill standing alone. And then he heard from behind him.
Fievel turns and looks at her.
Gussie: You’ve finally defeated him.
Fievel: Well… I didn’t really, Tanya saved me.
Gussie: You should be grateful for that; you have a sister that did the exact opposite of what you told her just to save your life.
Fievel: (smiles) I am. I love her.
Gussie: So what’s wrong?
Fievel: It’s the way, it’s what he did really, Warren.
Gussie: What did he do?
Fievel: He… he sort of apologized, but… h

Now the ship lies on the ground, severely damaged. Fievel lands his bird next to it and so does Karina, whilst one of their ships with Tony and the others is flying at low altitude almost touching the ground.
Fievel dismounts his bird, and some of the air cavalry lands and dismounts to follow Fievel into the ship.
As they approach, the ships still seems lifeless. There are no signs of life, and there are dead bodies all around it. Fievel walks towards the deck. He sees that there’s a big hole leading into the ship so he enters the hole with Karina and a few other soldiers following him.
Tony from the nearby ship gives one more comment.
Tony: Fievel, be careful.
Fievel nods at Tony and then enters the ship. So far, there is nothing alive in the ship, he and his girlfriend along with the men enter as well, searching for either Warren or

Now it is morning, the sun has already risen, and there is cloud cover over the mountains, which means the sky is gray making almost everything around the colony gray looking. Most of the colony is awake but Fievel is still sleeping in a tent, rather large tent for him, his family, and his friends. He wakes up but continues to lay there relaxing. He shuts his eyes, and then he hears Tiger from outside.
Fievel wakes up again.
Fievel: (moaning) What?
Tiger: Fievel where ar—woah (thump)
Fievel immediately gets up, and then runs out the tent.
Fievel: Tiger! What happened?
Tiger: Nothing I just tripped on a rock.
Fievel: (sighs) oh come on Tiger, (chuckles) oh, you clumsy feline.
Fievel: the things you do… it’s just, wow.
Tiger: Hey, by the way I wanted to ask you something.
Fievel walks into the tent.
Tiger: I was wondering you remember that guy…?
Fievel: What guy?
